Was looking at this particular model. May any current or previous owners explain their time with this automobile?

When I was looking to buy an E-class, I asked my Mercedes mechanic about 4Matics. I know this mechanic for 20 years and trust him completely. He said that if you really need a 4Matic (you drive in a snow or something like that) than, sure, buy it. But if you do not really need it, stay away from them because it's just one more thing that might go wrong with the car. Since I live in Southern California, I got a regular one, not a 4Matic, and I'm very happy with it.
