I am contemplating purchasing a used 06 MB E350 RWD. ESP and Traction Control (one in the same?) come standard. I don't intend on putting on snow chains or winter tires, so should I be OK to drive in the snow that we get around DC / MD / Northern VA? Any experience you can share will be greatly appreciated. Granted, the snow that we get here pales in comparison to Maine, but is more than I ever saw in Tampa Bay, FL. My driving style is befitting of an 80 year old woman, so I am not one to drive more than 35-40 mph in snowy conditions. Having never owned a RWD vehicle before, all the reviews I've read about driving a RWD car is that they all explode into 5 million pieces as soon as the first snowflake hits the hood of the car.

You should be fine as long as you don't drive too fast and you don't take corners fast or step on the throttle too much.

Remember, Mercedes comes from Germany, and in Germany it snows a lot, so if they're fine with so many RWD cars, then you should be too in the D.C area.
