I know that they have two completely different price ranges (SLK300 has a MSRP of 45K and SL550 has a MSRP of 98K)
But which Mercedes roadster in your opinion is better? SLK300 has a better fuel mileage, so would that be the more practical choice? Or do you like another Benz/high end luxury vehicle? (no SUVs please)

Why not the SLK350? It's a little more expensive than the SLK300 obviously but but has a bigger engine and is almost as quick as the SL550 in acceleration; 0-60 takes 5.5 seconds. Fuel economy is almost identical to the SLK300-18/26 mpg vs 19/26. If the prestige of having the grandest model doesn't concern you too much, I think an SLK350 would offer the best package.
