My Dad's thinking about getting a Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 Kompressor Roadster. I've seen loads of comments on websites saying its a girls car.. why do people think this? I dont wanna be driving round with my Dad if its 'apparently' for girls.
Its not AMG (because they're much more expensive) but it has AMG parts.. basically its a sporty version of the original. It doesn't have red seats like a lot of the SLK200's do.. He probably wouldn't have the roof down unless its really hot/on the motorway. Sooo why is it girly?

It is a cissy car for big girl's blouses. A real man would drive the muscular Chevrolet corvette.

its just really small. its like a girls sports car. not very manly. get something with a big engine

Its a girly car because..
1. its the cehapest model the company makes
2. it has the smallest motor of all of their cars, and is hardly worthy of the brand name itself which is indicitive of performance and luxury
3. its tiny, and compact
4. its a sports car wannabe

Aside from all that, the car isnt all that great for what it cost, its basically your average overpriced sedan, , its not a sports car, its not super luxurious and roomy, and its not even al that stylish. Its really the kind of car that somebody who doesnt know what to look for in cars might buy, kinda like girls tend to do.

To me, when i see that car, i think, wow, this guy was so desperat to buy a mercedes, he bought that peice of crap, its not really crap, but its definately overpriced. Theres a lot of bigger, faster, better cars with the same features as that car, go shop around, the kia amanti, chrystler 300, hyundai sonata, seem to be similer in some ways but better or equally priced

Ppl who murmur that it's a girl's car probably just jealous. The only girl who could afford it would be Paris Hilton. OTOH, it's a car for a man having a midlife crisis. My concern about the car is that if you/Dad are ever in an accident, the car will be crushed like an accordian. Be safe, drive an E class MBZ or series 5 BMW and still have a lot of prestige.

people knock on stuff they cant afford.

becaaaaaaaaaaaas its girly just they way of how feminine it drives and the way the doors open just purposely for women feet, oooh and because the seats are made supposibly for a girls back and the stering wheel has a pinkish tint when in a sunset on the beach!
