Changed oil on Mercedes ML350 and 2K miles later, the flex light says I need oil change. Is the indicator dead?

When you change the oil (or have the service done, whatever) you need to reset the FSS, It doesn't reset itself. It explains how to reset it in the owners manual (resetting FSS, look in the index under FSS)
