I am sure that if asked, he would come up with an equally lame excuse. I have heard the poorest church members say that they wanted their pastor to look good and live well. This while they (and their family) was barely surviving from paycheck to paycheck!

heh heh! Happens a lot. While the pastor has a nice car, house, bills paid, nice attire, taking his family to go eat every sunday, the church is missing something, OR it looks like ****.

I have a to say that I disagree with Pastor's taking so much money as a salary that they can buy luxury sports cars. But if the money comes from another business venture or investments or whatever then it is a whole other story.

I'm seriously curious: what church do you go to that your pastor has a Mercedes? And is it a big congregation? (membership count?)

I spoke with your pastor and he told me that because of his back problems he was forced to by that car. He didn't want to buy it. It seems the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is the only vehicle made that has the lumbar support he requires.
