Sounds like one of many scams out there. How about some details on the sale. If it is listed on Craigslist or the Auto trader with a buy it now that is about half of what it should sell for, it is definitely a scam. If they offer free shipping it's a scam. If they are in the military and can't take the car into the country it's a scam.
