Bmw is better :)

It depends on what you want out of the driving experience. The BMW is slightly stiffer, sharper handling, and rougher riding, and is therefore best suited to a person who enjoys spirited driving. The Mercedes is slightly more luxery oriented, and is a little more subdued in driving nature. Both are great examples of German engeneering, but the Mercedes may be prone to more problems, like automatic transmission hic-ups, and other glitches. So far the late model BMW's have been holding up well with their time tested technology. Personally, I would get the BMW 3 series with manual transmission, and with as few electronic items as possible for the sake of simplicity and reliability. I hope this helps.

C class looks thousand times better along with the nicer interior then those weird looking bimmers. The new mercs have a very smooth engine to.

I've owned an audi before my 3 series BMW. Although i loved the audi, it did have problems constantly, and they were expensive. I've had no problems with bimmer.
I dont think the C class Mercedes looks as good, or has the performance that the 3 series has.
A 335 coupe is just hot as hells. Bimmer may be a little more expensive in this class, not sure.
But as far as looks and performance i go BMW 3 series over the C class mercedes
