Does the kompressor kick in at any time I hit the gas or is it at a certain RPM? Just curious, trying to learn more about my car, thanks!

The compressor ratio is determined by the engine control module which actuates either a divertor valve or electro-magnetic clutch. The engine control module takes into account the engine RPM and gas pedal potentiometer among other sensors to determine when to activate the compressor. So the answer is--it varies.

turbos are always going at any rpm they just have 2 spool up. it doesnt take long and theres always some power. superchargers are the ones that kick in at a certian rpm
