i am a 17 yo who live in dubai, united arab emirates, i rlly love the mercedes slk, and i've been reading comments here, and honestly some of them discouraged me, i've been reading that it is a fuel consuming car and that it is a "female" car, i will be getting my license next year, a 1998 or a 1999 slk ( which im planning 2 buy) costs like 10k $ here, is it a good car 2 buy, knowing that i would be probably working while studying in college, and knowing that 90% of Traffic here is japanese cars,,,,if not the slk, what should i get 4 the same or lower price??? thnx,,,

get a toyota prius

The SLK is a very good car, and it isn't aimed at girls.
I'd have one.

But, I would also look at the Audi TT and Nissan 370/350 Z. They are both very good cars but are slightly different so it would be down to your personal taste.

Don't be drawn by the looks of Alfa Romeo's Brera - it's an AWFUL car!
