We need a car to travel from Louisiana to VA four times a year. We drive because we visit friends and family along the way. I have narrowed it down to two vehicles- The Cadillac Escalade ESV or the Mercedes GI Diesel. Both are very nice but would like some input on which is best suited for the task. Here is what I have so far:
Cadillac
Nice looking
Onstar incase we get in an accident
Any Chevy dealer along the route can fix it.
Comfort

Mercedes
Classy look - less "bling bling"
25 miles to the gallon with diesel
Not trendy, it's gonna still look nice 8 years from now
However no onstar
