Hi Every one
I Have a A Class 2001 model it started giving me problems 9 mounts Ago she started stopping and if i opend the tank cover and closed it . it started after a number of trials and was on a daily basis everytime we visited the garage . First Fuel Filter then air clearner then all then Fuel Pump Then ECU/Air mass Flow checked and reconfirmed fully working by expert all has been changed or checked but she always gives problems and behaves like no fuel going off and refusing to start it starts only if its given little fuel in the front and first left to idle then drives fast and fully normal --- we car drive as long as it wishes a hour, day a week can any one help as i am geeting poorer and the garages Richer.

I myself have a similar problem as my car turns off after a long drive on a hot day, starting to run again after the engine cools back down.
I guess it is an electrical problem but no one can seem to find the cause.

If anyone has an idea please share.

I've not had this problem with my A Class, but my Ford Fiesta had the same problem. There was an air bubble in the fuel system, which when the engine / car got hot would expand the air bubble and stop the fuel flowing.
