Hi all,
I'm new here and have looked through the threads but cant see anything about replacing headlight bulbs.

I have a V reg A170 and need to replace the dipped beam bulbs. Both have blown within a week of each other! Is there an easy way to remove and replace the bulbs?

Also, the headlights seem rather dim, compared to my renault trafic. I have bought "double power" halogen replacement bulbs, but wondered if I should replace the dip or full beam with these. The dip will remain on with the full beam, so might shed plenty of light, or would it be better to use the fill beam bulbs in the dip lights and shove the high power ones in the full beam lamps?

Should really replace both sets i suppose, but no money left after xmas:(

Thanks for your help
TTM

OK, so after a long time searching for info on bulb replacement for my car, I have finally found the mother of all information to do with A Class cars:D

Go to http://www.aclassinfo.co.uk/index.html and you will likely be able to find what you are looking for.

Doesnt seem to be a search tool on the site, but you can go to the index page and use the 'find' tool on your browser's edit menu.

Hope that helps save you looking for info that is not easily available here.
