you need to drive your Mercedes to a flat area, where its away from kids and houses and set fire to it. and buy a car that doesn't need its own oil refinery to get it to move.

You have to understand that you cannot turn on the heater on a Mercedes manually. The trick is to increase the temperature level to a higher value.

Switching the temperature to 80 degrees when it is 68 outside for example automatically turns on the heater.

There is no dedicated button that turns on the heater like in some other cars. You need to set the temperature you want.

Good Luck.

This is a tough question as the year 2002 was the year when models change.

In all Mercedes, turning to heater is simply changing the temperature. Note that regardless of whether you have standard air con or automatic climate control, there are two temperature settings - one for drivers side and one for passenger side.

If you have standard aircon, if u have the old W210 model the a/c temp is determined by 2 temp wheels on the middle console.

For the newer W211 and automatic a/c models just try and find the red arrows, as they indicate turning the heat up.

If still stuck, take a photo of the console and post, it may be easier.
