if the coil spring retainer (top) which seems to be welded on to the unibody rear of the fender .. is a part that can be purchased seperately, and welded on again? Mine rusted, and the spring pushed it out of place, than the spring fell right off. Anyone have a diagram?

In a '98? You got issues even most body and frame shops might not want to help with.

take it to a dealer, thier are computer controls on the suspension system that you could damage..

Convert it to a non air suspension with one of Strutmasters conversion kits. This will be the last time you have suspension problems. It comes with a lifetime warrranty.

I agree that you should check out Strutmasters. They have helped me with suspension problems in the past. My car is my baby and they hooked her up :)
