eventually restarts & prob disappears? My car keeps stalling, usually after a 'cold start', at the 1st or 2nd stop sign/red light I come to. It eventually restarts w/out any immediate reoccurence, but it has gotten worse/more frequent. Dealer performed diagnostic tests but found nothing; results showed proper fuel mix/pressure etc. One day later, car failed to start altogether! One hour later, no problem. The starter seems fine, and a new alternator was installed one month ago, along with a new a/c condensor. Oil level/pressure is fine. Also, I only use the specified 91 octane gas from a national and reputable station. The car has 89K miles and had a full tune-up at 70K. Does anyone have any insight as to what the cause may be? I would really appreciate any thoughts/advice/ideas.
Thanks Les, I appreciate your help. The shop did have my car for 1 1/2 days. It stalled for them on the 1st morning-nothing appeared when they ran the diag. test afterwards--and they were unable to duplicate the problem thereafter. This is what is so frustrating! If you have any other suggestions/advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I will follow up on your initial suggestion. Thanks again.
