I really want to get an SLK230 - it's a dream car. But I can't afford it readily so I want to get a car with high mileage 104,000 miles. It's service record is great and all the parts that needed to be replaced, well, have been replaced. But I was wondering if these cars break down at some age. Will the engine need to be replaced at some point.

Basically - give me a thumbs up or thumbs down. I don't want to be stuck with a piece of metal that doesn't move.

I would not buy a car with a lot of miles. Secondly, buying a used MB can be costly when any repairs are needed. Thirdly, it is my experience that riding in some MB's on long trips can get real uncomfortable.
