a bad rod in the engine. Help! This car is very clean inside and out. I'd be getting it for a bargain, so paying for a new motor would be worth it. All you experts out there is this a good idea?? Appreciate any and all responses and help. Thanks

It might be a good deal if you know how to do the repairs yourself. But I'd be suspicious as to why the car was sent to salvage just because it had a bad rod. That's a repairable problem. I'd say there's more to the story than you know about.
