...convertible for this year or model.? It was imported from Germany in 1980 by a officer in the Army. Do you think this is valuable? Do you know if there were any American models with convertible? The MPH is actually in Kilometers...pretty cool.
Is $8500 too much for the car?

If you speedometer reads KM/H then I think you probably have the European model which is worth more then the American model. My grandparents have a 1978 SL convertible but the speedometer reads MP/H so I think they have an American model. Theirs does have a tag above the radiator that says it is made in Germany as well. Don't quote me on this, as I am a HONDA guy.:)
