Anyone who drives one of the above Mercs? What do you think of it?

I am looking to buy a 2nd hand car, i am never fan of German cars cuz they are expensive, but in Auto traders when i search, these cars models 2002 to 2005 are cheaper than other brands and most of them are also very low mileage so i wonder why people want to sell them if German cars are faultless.

Please help me make my mind, if these cars are reliable and dont make much trips to mechanics then i will try one.

I have had ford fiesta si and Nissan Sunny Flamenco, i never had any trouble with them, i just have to change my car and get a 5 door car because i find 3 doors cars very inconvenient.

I had one for 3 years and I absolutely loved it! especially as it was semi auto - brilliant, gears but no clutch! Easy to park, very reliable. The only bad thing I heard about these cars are that some have trouble with the steering column - but mine was fine and cheap to run - tax etc. I would highly recommend the A class or any Mercedes car.

there are minor faults which costs too much and you must service it with Mercedes only, local garages doesnt have a clue on how to handle mercedes specially the diesel ones, it is way too complicated.

I wouldnt recommend it, i guess it is mainly for the rich.
